Jennifer Aniston has been through so much the past five years or so. Now normally, I don't really like to delve into celebrity people's lives and speculate about the who, why, or what. We definitely get enough of that in the media and gossip magazines. However, I watched the show, The View, this morning in which Jennifer Aniston was a guest. I took a look at her and I was so awed by her inner beauty - not awed in that Oh-I-want-her type of way. (Just for the record, I don't swing that way!) I was just very inspired by how she has carried herself throughout the years despite the divorce with Brad Pitt and all that gossip.
So, as I said, I was awed about Jennifer Aniston's inner beauty...then I find out about her cover for GQ Magazine. The old, judgmental side of me resurfaced and my first reaction was, "Why would she want to do that?!" However, the second thought that came to me was, "Well, for some people nudity is considered 'art', right?"
I was reminded of my trip to Chicago a couple years ago where my friend and I were in the Museum of Contemporary Art admiring a painting of a naked woman. It was stunning. Not once did it cross my mind that it was wrong for this woman to pose nude for a painting, so why would I consider it wrong for Jennifer Aniston to pose nude for GQ? What right do we have to judge her for what she says or does?
