I've been thinking alot lately about women in relationships who get so involved with their significant others that they depend on these men to make them feel good about themselves. You probably know someone who is in this type of situation. It might even be you.
A good friend of mine, "Mindy", is married to a man, "Alex", who has really ripped into her self-esteem. Or rather, she's allowed him to affect how she feels about herself. I feel really sad to see her going through this situation because I know that she could do so much better. The crazy thing is...He's told her that he could've done better than her - meaning that he could have been with someone who looks better than her. I'm sorry, but that is something you never say to your wife!
