Lately I’ve been mulling over this idea of achieving balance between inner and outer beauty. Many of us tend to focus on one over the other. When all you think about is outer beauty, you might believe that outer appearance is the basis of beauty. On the other hand, when you focus on inner beauty, you could believe that physical beauty is superficial.

Although I know in theory that your inner beauty shines through to reveal your outer beauty, it’s taken awhile for me to truly understand this. I now know that inner beauty is in the little details or actions you take - whether it’s offering a smile to a stranger, eating the right foods, wearing clothing that flatters your body, or using the right hair tools. These are all little things you can do to take care of yourself, and they add up to make you the unique person that you are.  Read more...

Is it right to criticize someone else's sense of fashion or beauty?

This is the question that came to mind as I saw this picture of Kelly Osbourne taken at Art of Elysium's 5th Annual Heaven Gala in Los Angeles. Obviously Kelly thought she looked great when she decided to put on this dress and dye her hair grey. Or perhaps she was influenced by someone who encouraged her to try out this look. Depending on what YOU think is fashionable, this whole look good be pretty...or it could be just downright awful. Read more...
