Lately I’ve been mulling over this idea of achieving balance between inner and outer beauty. Many of us tend to focus on one over the other. When all you think about is outer beauty, you might believe that outer appearance is the basis of beauty. On the other hand, when you focus on inner beauty, you could believe that physical beauty is superficial.
Although I know in theory that your inner beauty shines through to reveal your outer beauty, it’s taken awhile for me to truly understand this. I now know that inner beauty is in the little details or actions you take - whether it’s offering a smile to a stranger, eating the right foods, wearing clothing that flatters your body, or using the right hair tools. These are all little things you can do to take care of yourself, and they add up to make you the unique person that you are. Read more...

I love flowers. My favorite subjects in my paintings are flowers. When I go walking in the neighborhood, I always stop to admire the beautiful flowers in my neighbor's yards. And if you follow me on Flickr, you would notice all the flower photos I've taken over the years.

Here is an interesting article in which the author states that reality TV shouldn't be our standard of true beauty. It's an interesting perspective and something to consider. There are a few comments posted to think about as well.
